Description

Characteristics of the work:
This polyptych brings together ten variations on the color yellow through a dialogue between light, geometry, and material. Each piece originates
as a turmeric anthotype; exposure to sunlight reveals a natural palette ranging from the palest yellows to the deeper hues of Indian yellow. This initial light-based impression serves as the foundation for acrylic stampings—using Hansa yellows, light cadmium yellows, and ochres—to add depth, texture, and vibration to the surface. Tone-on-tone embroidery, punctuated by brick reds and Parma violets, introduces a subtle rhythm and highlights chromatic tensions. Circles, triangles, and squares form a recurring geometric vocabulary that echoes the light of the sun: the circle evokes the celestial body, the triangle its radiance, and the square a space of balance and contemplation. Together, these ten works form a sensitive exploration of the many energies of yellow. By turns gentle, meditative, or radiant, they invite the eye to traverse a landscape of light where color becomes a source of warmth, vitality, and inner momentum.
