Description

Caractéristique de l’œuvre :

Œuvre composée de deux toiles à l’acrylique  préalablement enduite de pigments et de Gesso juxtaposées pour former un diptyque.

La toile de droite dépeint une scène marine devant le phare de Sanary-sur-mer. La toile de gauche représente une ballade en bateau devant le phare du Grand Ribaud dans le Var.

Dimensions : 30 x 60 x 1 cm

Les deux parties du diptyque sont fixées à l’arrière par 3 lamelles de métal. Un système de suspension est prévu.

Histoire de l’œuvre :

« Phare de Sanary » est caractérisée par des lignes épurées entre figuration et abstraction géométrique. Les couleurs sont sobres marquée par des bleus et des gris doux, relevés par des couleurs plus vives qui attirent le regard, comme le phare de Sanary-sur-mer.

Elle dépeint la vie côtière en fin de journée lorsque les bateaux rentrent au port.

A l’avant plan un personnage est assis sur la jetée et concentré sur sa canne à pêche, de petites embarcations sont dispersées sur un plan d’eau extrêmement calme qui s’étend jusqu’à l’horizon. Aussi, le phare rouge de Sanary crée un point focal et marque la porte d’entrée du port.

« Un chapeau à la mer N°3 » présente une composition de couleurs et de formes géométriques dominée par une harmonie de bleus et de blancs. Le chapeau du personnage au premier plan contraste ces couleurs marines par des teintes chaudes. La juxtaposition des nuances brunes orangées crée un appel visuel vers l’ île rocheuse du phare du Grand Ribaud à Porquerolles qui émerge dans le bleu.

Description of the work:

Work composed of two acrylic canvases previously coated with pigments and gesso, juxtaposed to form a diptych.

The canvas on the right depicts a marine scene in front of the Sanary-sur-Mer lighthouse. The canvas on the left depicts a boat trip in front of the Grand Ribaud lighthouse in the Var department.

Dimensions: 30 x 60 x 1 cm

The two parts of the diptych are attached at the back by three metal strips. A hanging system is provided.

History of the work:

« Phare de Sanary » is characterized by clean lines somewhere between figuration and geometric abstraction. The colors are understated, marked by soft blues and grays, enhanced by brighter, eye-catching colors, such as the Sanary-sur-Mer lighthouse.

It depicts coastal life at the end of the day as the boats return to port.

In the foreground, a figure sits on the pier, concentrating on his fishing rod. Small boats are scattered across an extremely calm body of water that stretches to the horizon. The red lighthouse of Sanary also creates a focal point and marks the entrance to the port.

« A Hat at the Sea No. 3 » presents a composition of colors and geometric shapes dominated by a harmony of blues and whites. The figure’s hat in the foreground contrasts these marine colors with warm hues. The juxtaposition of orange-brown shades creates a visual reference to the rocky island of the Grand Ribaud lighthouse in Porquerolles, emerging from the blue.
